ABOUT
CLUBBIEDEAN TROUT FISHERY
Clubbiedean is a family-friendly fishery which caters for Fly Anglers & bait fishers of all ages and abilities.
Located only ten minutes from Edinburgh in stunning scenery up the Pentland Hills.
Permits and rowing Boats available, Rod hire, Bait, Basic tackle, Tea/Coffee & WC.
When you arrive at Clubbiedean the first thing you notice is the scenery and how peaceful it is. Car parking next to the Loch and within 5 minutes you can be on the water or checking tactics with our Staff.
After that, the choice is yours, boat or bank, wild brownies, double figure rainbows or some Blue Trout, wet, dry, nymph or lure. Floating or sinking line, or find a quiet spot on the bank and try a float.
Our crystal clear water allows stalking on the south bank where, with a little careful casting you could find yourself into a Wild Brown Trout that hides under the trees waiting on insects to drop. .
Fly fishing from Boats
We have boats with anchors and safety jackets. These are great for drifting traditional flies and also lets you get near the overhanging trees and present a dry fly to a cruising Brown Trout. Booking advisable for your session.
Bait fishing only from Bank
Excellent bait fishing available using ledgered weight or floats. Worms, maggots or wasp grubs work very well. All fish must be kept. When Fish limit is reached that is the end of the Session, or you can purchase another permit. No fishing on the Dam wall.
